Ankit Raj: I have been sporting long hair look for 11 years now

Actors and their fascination towards things sometimes go to different levels and such is Ankit Raj’s fascination for long hair. It's been 11 years that he has been sporting the long hair look and he wants to keep it that way. “Since school days, I wanted to have long hair. I don’t know why but I just wanted to have it. I studied in a convent school and they were very strict.We had to keep our hair short. I was once made to stand on the stage during assembly where my principal made the entire school see my hair that had grown! I was quite a notorious kid,” he says.
The actor says that he has got a lot of good work because of his hairstyle. “Before I got into acting, I used to model. People would refer to me as the long-haired guy. I got so many good gigs because of my hair. I am a tall man and my hair is also dense. So when I used to walk on the stage my hair would bounce so naturally that people would ask me what I do with them,” he laughs.
While people might think that he has to do a lot to manage his hair, he says that he does nothing. “I don’t spend hours on my hair or go for expensive treatments. I have a regular shampoo and conditioner and that's it for me. My mother has hair like that so I think it is in my genes,” says the Dharam Yoddha Garud actor.
Apart from television shows like Laado 2: Veerpur Ki Mardaani and Vish Ya Amrit: Sitara, Ankit has also done two movies Karle Pyaar Karle and Ashcharyachakit.
